A skiing slope with a great view of Mt Hakusan opened for 1300 years
The west slope of Mt Washigatake at an altitude of 1,671m is crossing Gujo-shi and Takayama-shi. You can see a magnificent view of Mt Gozengamine, Mt Ohnanmine, Mt Kengamine and Mt Bessan, peaks of Mt Hakusan. Visitors can ski down from the top of a 1,405m slope to 1,050m. In addition to all 13 trails, skiing through to Washigatake Ski Resort besides is possible. Using old-fashioned equipment such as Kasa (Straw hat) and Kanjiki (Snowshoes) made of straw to go snow trekking, is also an experience that you can participate. There is also a large communal bath and an economy room where you can take a break.
