Hirugano Bokka-no-sato

At Bokka-no-sato, there are tulips, lavender, alstroemeria and other flowers during different seasons. Visitors can play with many kinds of animals inside the stock farm and can experience workshops too. The most recommended activity is milking Anko-chan, a dairy cow in this farm. As staff will teach you how to do it, even small kids can join this activity! Flower garden, with the area of around 4.5 hectares, is like as beautiful as the scene in a picture book.
Dairy cow Anko-chan is the mascot here. She is very kind than small kids like playing with her.
During the time of “Animal touch”, bunnies, guinea pigs and other small animals welcome everybody to play with them.
Flower garden with different varieties of flowers in all seasons is giving you a new look every time you come.
Kogen Café La Chaise

Their menu is simple but satisfying
Café La Chaise, located at Hirugano Plateau, is a café where you can see the grassland while eating or having some tea. It was reconstructed from a cattle barn with many vintage chairs and books inside. Handmade whole wheat pizza and pizza are provided during lunch time. Desserts like Chaise cheesecake and muffin using whole wheat flour are also available. Although all are so simple, only fresh ingredients can be used in making all of them. Coffee becomes tastier while you are seeing small animals eating their food. It makes you forget about time.

Pizza with topping of fresh tomato sauce and lots of cheese is so delicious that I can eat as many as I can!
Goat, cow and other animals are welcoming us inside. If you are lucky enough, you may try to feed them with grass.
Hirugano Hope Lodge / Hirugano-kogen Kisouma Bokujo

Riding horses and having a walk at Hirugano-kogen
Hirugano Hope Lodge / Hirugano-kogen Kisouma Bokujo (Hirugano Plateau Kisouma Farm) is a farm for visitors to ride Kisouma which is one of the oldest local horses in Japan. Kisouma is so friendly that you can ride without any worries even if you are beginner. Primary school students can also try riding them. A route riding outside starts inside the farm and among the trees in Hirugano-kogen. Riding a horse and seeing the fresh greenery in summer and snowy view in winter is refreshing!
Kisouma is very friendly. Even it is your first time to ride a horse, relax! Owner Mr Shimizu will teach you how to ride.
You can choose from experience course around 15 minutes and hiking course for 1 hour.

Hirugano-kogen Service Area on Tokai Hokuriku Expressway is selling delicious food and specialties in Hirugano-kogen. Hirugano-kogen Daikon (Radish), Harumachi Ninjin (Carrot) and other local specialties are all for sale at Furusato Market. Restaurant providing local cuisine and souvenir shops selling local souvenirs can be found here. If you are driving at Tokai Hokuriku Expressway, please find some time and make a stop at this service area!

Kukkula Hirugano
A facility with gourmet, souvenirs, sweets, goods and all other local stuffs
A northern European style building Kukkula Hirugano is a complex facility located next to Hirugano-kogen SA. From soft serve ice cream using Hirugano-kogen milk, sweets and souvenir shops, to restaurant using local ingredients can be all found here. You can see Mount Dainichigatake, Mount Bessan and Mount Hakusan on the observation tower on altitude of around 900m.
