Tokunaga Station of Gujo-shi Yamato-cho is a small station north above Gujo Hachiman Station. There are toilets and vending machines inside the station. Wooden poles and benches are placed spreading a nostalgic atmosphere. Kokindenju-go Kokin Ticket, including free shuttle from Tokunaga Station to Kokindenju-no-sato Field Museum, a lunch at Restaurant Momochidori and ticket for Waka Literature Hall, is available (5880JPY, reservation needed). An outdoor museum in nature

Kokindenju-no-sato Field Museum is an outdoor museum with the theme of Waka (Japanese poem) with the name of Lord To who was the root of Kokindenju. Inside the area of the museum, Waka Literature Hall is introducing the history of Waka from the ancient time up till today. Toshi Memorial Hall is showing the history of Kokindenju and Lord To, while Toshi-yakataato-teien is designated to be a National Scenic Beauty. You can see the changes of scenery throughout the year. Seeing all the mountains, birds, small animals and plants is also one of charming point! You can also see lines of lovely cherry blossom in Myoken-jinja Shrine next to the museum in spring.

In glassed-in restaurant with an open aired ceiling, you can see the beautiful natural view through the large window. French lunch is cooked by chef who received training in France. He also chooses fresh local vegetable and wild game meat for ingredients. Seasonal cuisine is also provided. Lunch and wine at Restaurant Momochidori are included in Kokin Ticket.

Roadside Station Kokindenju-no-sato Yamato is a facility with visitor information center, restaurant, souvenir shop, morning market, local specialty shop, workshop selling handmade ice cream, yogurt and bread. Many visitors come to buy local specialties for souvenir and try ice cream and yogurt made by fresh milk in Gujo. Some come to try a salt grilled Ayu (Sweetfish) too. If you feel tired during your journey, please come here to get some rest.

An unmanned local station
With a nostalgic atmosphere

Gujo Yamato Station is a wooden unmanned station along Nagaragawa Railway. It is the only station for train meet from Gujo Hachiman Station to Mino Shirotori Station. Café next to the station is one of the rest places for local people. As only a few trains pass this station, please make sure you do not miss one. Check the timetable carefully before!
