At Roadside Station Seiryu-no-sato Shirotori , you can find fresh seasonal vegetables such as summer corn, dried plums, Gujo miso, Kei-chan, and Meiho ham, as well as nameplates made of cypress and zelkova. In addition, Gujo local cuisine is also substantial. At Soba-kobo Gensuke San, you can enjoy freshly ground, freshly beaten, and boiled soba noodles all made in Gujo Shirotori. If you are interested in making soba noodles, please remember to make a reservation in advance. At Tedukuri-no-mise, you can try Hoba leaf sushi and Dango (Rice dumpling). Minobamba’s cream puffs are recommended for dessert after lunch. This cream puff, with a crisp skin made from rice flour, is very popular that it won the first place in Rakuten Market ranking.
At Yama-no-naka no Sanpuru-ya, a food replica workshop, on the 2nd floor, you can tour and experience making food replica (Reservation required). Thus, at Shirotori Tourism Association, you can get maps and pamphlets of Gujo, focusing on Shirotori area. It can also be used as a tourist information center.
