Gujo Hachiman Castle Town Plaza is a bus terminal located in the center of Gujo Hachiman, with a tourist information center, a souvenir shop, and a public toilet. At the shop here, you can find souvenirs and Gujo’s specialties, like ham, tea, rice and snacks. In Castle Town Morning Market corner set up at the shop, you can find fresh vegetables made by local farmers every morning.
Types of vegetables vary from day to day. It is a small morning market corner with 2 or 3 carts providing seasonal local vegetables. From 08:30 to 10:00 in the morning when the store opens, local producers bring their vegetables which harvested in the morning and sell them here. The market closes as soon as all products are sold out, so it is recommended to stop by earlier in the morning.
