Takasu Area Hirugano-kogen SA

Hirugano-kogen SA is located at an altitude of about 860m making it becomes a SA with the highest altitude in Japan. You can see the whole view of Mt Dainichigatake. If the weather is good enough, you can also see Mt Hakusan. It is a perfect spot for photo shooting. You can feel the refreshing highland breeze in summer and enjoy the snowy landscape in winter too.

Kukkula Hirugano located next to this roadside station has a shop selling souvenirs. You can enjoy Gujo’s local cuisine Kei-chan at the restaurant. Not only highway users, but the observatory is also popular other visitors. There is an exit for smart IC dedicated to convenience stores and ETC, so it is very convenient as a stop-off sightseeing spot in Takasu area.
