Yamato Morning Market is located at Roadside Station Kokindenju-no-sato Yamato. Yamato Onsen Yasuragikan is also inside the same facility. Visitors can enjoy shopping and bathing here.

An outdoor museum to enjoy the mystery of light
Around 500 years ago, the lord of Gujo Yamato-cho spread the spirit of Kokin Wakashu (Collection of Japanese poems). It is called Kokindenju in Japanese. This museum is an outdoor museum with the theme of Waka and Kokindenju. There are Toshi-yakataato-teien, which is a scenic spot of the country, three exhibition halls, a French restaurant Momochidori, café and shops in this museum. The architectural beauty in harmony with nature is wonderful. Seminar House Villa Shinowaki, located on a hill, is having a great view of the whole museum. The appearance of the museum makes you think of steep rafter roof, but actually it is an open-air building without any pillars. Visitors can enjoy the mystery of light at the pond in front of the villa too. Cherry blossom and peony in spring and red leaves in autumn can also be seen in this museum.
If you have time, please visit at night to see the illumination with autumn leaves. You can have a dinner at French restaurant Momochidori while seeing illumination. (Reservation needed)

Yamato is a town full of local gourmet. Roadside station original Kei-chan (Stir fried chicken with miso sauce), Hananban (Vegetable leaves boiled with soy sauce) which you can choose the spiciness, Iburi-dofu (Smoked tofu) with local miso sauce and other souvenirs which go well with rice and sake, are very popular. Doburoku (Home-brewed sake) is also very famous. If you are looking for some food, restaurant, café and bakery are waiting for you. Here is a roadside station that you can learn more about the history of Kokindenju by spending your time in the nature which you can see in the poems.

Yamato Hot Spring Yasuragikan
A new modern Japanese style remake from Shinden-zukuri
This modern Japanese styled facility is a remake from Shinden-zukuri (Domestic palatial architecture in Heian era). Other than a natural hot spring bath, and also massage bath, pottery bath, Gujo field stone bath and many other types of baths are all available for you. Bath with a slide is very popular with kids. There is also a restaurant, a shop and a free large rest place.
Visitors can enter this hot spring until 21:00. Please come to take a rest if you are tired during your trip
