Clear stream Nagaragawa River is flowing gently from Gujo-shi, which is located in the center of Gifu-ken, to the southwestern part of Gifu-ken, Kaizu-shi. It has given the basin of life and nurtured a beautiful landscape since a long time ago. If you go up the river, you can reach Meotodaki Waterfalls, which are close to Hirugano Plateau in Takasu area of Gujo-shi, and Mt Dainichigatake, which is the source of Nagaragawa River. In addition, Hirugano Watershed Park is a rare place in Japan where you can see the beginning of the river, which is divided into north and south, connecting Nagaragawa River and Shogawa River.
