Amidaga Waterfall, one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan and 50 famous waterfalls in Gifu, has a head of about 60m and is the best waterfall in Tokai region. There is a wallking path to the waterfall basin.
It is said that the name comes from a legend that Amida Nyorai appeared during a monk's training at Hakusan Chukyo Choryuji Temple during Muromachi era. It is very famous that Katsushika Hokusai has drawn its beautiful scenery in a Ukiyo-e.
You can also eat Nagashi Somen noodles nearby.
