Charming garden makes you forget about time, Jion-zenji Temple
After leaving Gujo Hachiman Castle, driving for 5 minutes or walking for 15 minutes, we arrive at Jion-zenji Temple. It is a temple founded by the lord of Gujo Hachiman Castle, Yoshitaka Endo during Edo era (1603 – 1868) as one of the temples of Linji School.
“Tessouen” is a garden with natural beauty. It shows us different sceneries in all the seasons. Momiji around the pound in autumn uses rocks and waterfall as its background. Together with the sound of the waterfall, you will want to enjoy it forever.
After praying and looking at the garden in red color, I feel peace and calm. I enjoyed this grateful moment so much!
