Remains of Shinowaki Castle (Prefectural historic site) where the To family ruled this land in the Middle Ages, was the base for 230 years for 8th generation. Starting from Kokindenju-no-sato Field Museum, you can reach Shinowaki Castle in about 30 minutes. Trees such as Anise magnolia, chestnut, oak, and wild cherry tree are decorating the area beautifully. At the foot of the mountain, there are cute wild grasses heralding the arrival of spring.
