Itoshiro Maedani Line of Gifu Prefectural Road 314 is an important transportation route connecting Itoshiro area of Gujo and the center of Shirotori. Autumn leaves from Amidagataki Waterfall to Hinoki-toge are beautiful. The best time to see is from mid-October to mid-November. Itoshiro was part of Ono-gun, Fukui-ken until 1958, but merged with Shirotori-cho, Gujo-gun, Gifu-ken. In the past, the prefectural border was Hinoki-toge, the middle point of Itoshiro Maedani Line.
