Hiyoshi-jinja Shrine Dance Performance
Daikagura (Dance performance) is dedicated to Hiyoshi-jinja Shrine in Hachiman-cho, on Saturday and Sunday of the third week of April every year. Although the origin is unknown, during 1848 - 1854, festival were carried out in 1802 nad 1828 according to Hokunoh Ichiran. The phrase "Kagura lion dance from both towns" seems to refer to Daikagura of our shrine and Kishitsurugi-jinja Shrine in Kitamachi.
